How it began
Some love stories start with fireworks. Ours started in a car—with a friend who clearly saw what we couldn’t.
We had known each other all our lives. Same circles, same community, same everything—yet somehow, we never once thought, “Hey, maybe this could be something.” Then one day, while driving with a mutual friend, she casually turned to Craig and asked: “Why don’t you go for Cindy?”
That simple question hit harder than expected. Craig pretended to laugh it off—but inside he was thinking, “Wait… why don’t I go for Cindy?” And just like that, a spark was lit. Quietly. Naturally. At exactly the right time.
From there, things didn’t suddenly become romantic or dramatic. Instead, we just… kept being ourselves. Long chats. Random drives. Church events. Moments of serving in the Lord’s work, side by side. We were comfortable—the kind of comfortable that feels like home long before you call it love.
Eventually, we both felt it. That shift. That moment you look at someone you’ve known forever and think—“Oh no… I actually like this person.”
We’ll both deny who fell first—but we know the truth.
As our relationship grew, the beauty of it was in its simplicity. Our lifestyles fit together like they were always meant to. Our values lined up. Our priorities matched. Our faith brought us closer. Serving the Lord together didn’t just strengthen us—it made everything easier, lighter, and filled with purpose.
Our families saw it too. Our parents adored the two of us together and supported us wholeheartedly.
And deeply woven into our story are two souls who shaped who we are—and who we carry with us into every room, every season, every moment.
Cindy’s mom—our beloved Pammy. Pammy was the kind of person everyone gravitated towards. Warm, welcoming, full of heart—she had a gift for making anyone feel at home. Pammy passed away on 20 March 2025, but her presence remains in every part of this journey. We feel her in the way Cindy loves, in the compassion she shows, in the warmth she brings into every space.
Craig’s dad—our beloved Mark. Mark Davey was a man of quiet strength and deep love. Mark passed away on 1 March 2026, just months before this day he so deeply looked forward to. His presence will be carried in every moment—in Craig’s laugh, in the tenderness between us, in the faith that guided us here.
This is the beginning of our always—and we are so excited to celebrate it with all of you.
From Maybe to Davey 🌿
Carried with us into every moment of this day
Pammy Abrahams
Beloved Mother 20 March 2025
“Her warmth, her heart, and her extraordinary gift for love live on in every part of Cindy’s being. She is here — in the joy of this day, in every smile shared, in every kindness shown.”
Mark Davey
Beloved Father 1 March 2026
“A man of quiet strength and unwavering love. His fingerprints are on the man Craig has become — and on this day, his presence will be felt in every moment, every laugh, every tear of joy.”
“Those we love don’t go away — they walk beside us every day.”
Our Journey
Our People
Aidan Davey
Best Man
Craig’s younger brother, lifelong competitor, and the only person qualified to tell embarrassing childhood stories with confidence. Promoted from “annoying little brother” to Best Man — a title he takes very seriously… we hope.
Carryn-Leigh Fortune
Maid of Honour
Cindy’s younger cousin, but truly more like her built-in baby sister. Wise beyond her years and often the more mature one in the room, Carryn-Leigh brings calm, heart, and just the right amount of sass. Promoted from “little cousin” to Maid of Honour — and absolutely owning the title.
